235. MAKE A FRIENDSHIP BRACELET

This may seem like a children’s activity because you remember these from your childhood. But you can make fancier versions by using a more complicated pattern, closing the bracelet more neatly, and using additional materials like small bead, crystals, and bells. Check out this simple chevron bracelet pattern with instructions that looks like an impressive final product! Check out these “5 Easy DIY Bracelet Projects!” in this video tutorial. If you want more designs to choose from, give these 17 Friendship Bracelet Patterns a try! When you are all done with your beautiful bracelet(s), give or mail them to provide a much needed pick me up to friends and family!

234. ENJOY SOME AUDITORY STIMULATION

That’s just a fancy way of saying “Feast Your Ears on Audiobooks, Audio Magazines, Concerts, Classic Radio, and More.” The New York Public Library has gathered some excellent free resources for the enjoyment of your ears! I love their site because of all the many resources it has (and did I mention free?) especially considering it helps me make up for my tendency to post a lot of fine art, craft, and theater related activities.

233. LEARN ABOUT PRONOUNS

You might be wondering what’s all the hubbub about personal pronouns these days. You might have been taught that they was a plural pronoun and don’t understand why it’s being used as a singular. But turns out, “The singular they emerged by the 14th century, about a century after plural they.” For more information check out “What are Pronouns and Why are They Important?” and this endearing “What are Pronouns” video. For some great printable visual resources check out the Genderbread Person, a more detailed Genderbread Person and a Gender Unicorn. A key thing to realize about pronouns is that gender identity is not a controversial topic despite what you might initially think. Indeed, each of us always have had a gender identity and gender expression. It’s just that now we have terms for these.

232. PLAY GAMES DESIGNED TO TIRE OUT YOUR KIDS

Have some fun playing children’s games to tire out your kids (as we speak my son is bouncing around like a jumping bean). These games are specifically designed to tire out your kids! This is particularly important because it’s difficult to keep your kids fit when they are stuck at home.

231. TOUR THE WORLD THROUGH FOOD

Take a tour of countries around the world through the most popular foods in those countries. Check out these Top 100 Most Popular Foods in the World. Once you find a dish you want to try, find a specific recipe at Food.com, an amazing recipe depository that’s been around a long time (by different names). Make a commitment to try one dish from another country every week. You can eve pick a specific day each week like Fun Food Friday or Tasty Travel Tuesday. If you’re not the type to make these dishes yourself, support your local restaurants offering the cuisines from these countries and order from them directly (without third party apps like GrubHub, Uber Eats, or Seamless that take a cut of the profits).
